Last month, we flew back to New York to help get puppies adopted with Swiffer. Since our favorite stay in NYC so far has been with the Library Hotel, we decided to stay at another hotel part of their collection. They have the best staff and amenities, and we can’t imagine staying anywhere else.
The Casablanca Hotel is modeled after the movie, which we still have yet to see, but having just been in Morocco a few months ago, the details of the hotel reminded us of our trip! The hotel sits right in the heart of Times Square, and we were a worried that the location would make it too noisy and touristy, but we were pleasantly surprised that as soon as you stepped into the hotel, you immediately felt like you escaped from all the hustle and bustle of the area.
While we were in New York, we also saw Finding Neverland and School of Rock on Broadway. Normally, we accept that part of the NYC experience is having to walk a lot. We actually love and appreciate that it’s a walkable city. However, we didn’t realize how nice it was to stay in Times Square, where we could simply walk across the street to see our Broadway shows (click to see our article on which shows to watch).
The second floor has a lounge, called Rick’s Café, where you can get 24-hour refreshments. They include a continental breakfast, and my favorite part of the hotel is that every evening they have a wine and cheese reception for all their guests. We feel so spoiled by them it really is hard to want to stay anywhere else.
Every New Year’s Eve, they open up their rooftop for a truly unforgettable experience away from the crowds in Times Square. Tickets sell out quickly, so get them as early as you can! They will also be opening up the rooftop bar year round soon, and we can’t wait to go back and check it out!
