Smith Rock is one of our favorite spots in the state. As one of the seven wonders of Oregon, it’s easy to see why people love this place. It’s a beautiful state park with brilliant red rock and dramatic landscapes, and it’s also a rock climber’s paradise! We mostly boulder, but when we headed to Smith Rock, we did some hiking and decided to try sport climbing.
Here’s a photo diary of our weekend at Smith Rock State Park! It was Jacob’s first time at the park, outdoor sport climbing, and lead climbing! If I can figure out how to conquer my fear of heights, I’ll be leading one day too.
