We were so happy when we were asked us to go on a spontaneous adventure with Bud Light Lime in hand. It was a no brainer! Anyone who knows us knows that we love our beer. For the most part we drink craft beers at home, but when I’m out in the sun, I love having myself a crisp, light beer!
I don’t know about you, but something about a light beer makes me want to sit out at the pool and grill some dogs. During the summer in Georgia, I used to go to a lake house with a few friends, we’d hop on the pontoon boat, find a cove, float and just enjoy beers and conversation.
This past weekend, I headed to San Diego to hang out at the beach with the guys, and I was eager to bring along my stash of Bud Light Lime. As we headed to the beach, a light drizzle started but we didn’t let that stop us! Eventually our persistence won and the rain subsided. We hopped in kayaks and headed out to the ocean and the La Jolla caves. The overcast made it the perfect temperature for me (especially since I sunburn so easily ;P).
How do you like the new, sleek cans btw?
Our guides show us what pro kayakers look like. Show-offs. Am I right?
We went into one of the caverns where there were over 10 sea lions hanging out.
Have you kayaked before? What’s your favorite thing to do at the beach?
While Jacob was enjoying his all guys trip to San Diego, I decided to hit the town with some friends and take full advantage of the fact that you can carry open containers around town. Originally, we planned on going to the First Fridays Art Walk, but somehow ended up hanging out on Fremont Street the entire time. Fremont Street is a great place to carry your own beers and people watch – a huge plus since Jacob is all about saving money.
Thanks Kimberly, Trey, and Sam for keeping me company while Jacob was out of town! And thanks Sam for taking the photo of me above. You can see more photos from our date night at the Fremont Street Experience here.
Only a few weeks of summer left. What’s going to be your last summer adventure?
