Along the Stanley Kubrick exhibit at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, we decided to check out the rest of the museum. We bought a special timed ticket for the Kubrick exhibit for $20, which includes all of LACMA.
It’s a big museum, especially compared to the ones in Atlanta. Everything is spaced out, and I like big open spaces. Also, the public walking spaces are really nice.
Oh and these lamps at the front of the museum – they’re everyone’s favorite instagram / video spot!

I like random frames. What’s not to like? I want these to be placeholders on my walls.
The 2000 Sculpture by Walter De Maria:
Sometimes I’m not sure that I understand modern art. But I do like how the book Steal Like an Artist put it: Modern art = I could do that + yeah, but you didn’t. This was a piece called Long Haired Cheese by Robert Gober.

Another interesting piece was this: Untitled (Elephant Dung with Chain) by David Hammons
A cool cityscape made out of random objects like lincoln logs + more.
All photos above were taken with a Canon 5D Mark III and the 35mm / 1.4L lens.
