On the last day, we took the last ferry ride from the Vernazza port to Monterosso al Mare. We had explored all four other villages except this one. We heard great things about Ristorante Miky and other food options in Monterosso and wanted to check them out. Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough time because the sun started setting, and we wanted to head back for sunset photos of Vernazza. We did get two hours to explore, snap some photos, and eat some amazing lemon gelato.
The view from the boat ride from Vernazza to Monterosso al Mare:
My typical gelato order is usually raspberry or strawberry while Jacob usually orders something chocolatey. The Ligurian region is known to grow some great lemons, so we decided to give it a try at a couple different places. We found that Midi Bar & Gelateria had amazing lemon gelato! So yummy, I want to go back for more.
The next time we travel to Cinque Terre, we hope to stay in Monterosso instead of Vernazza. See post on traveling in Cinque Terre and the other villages: Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, Riomaggiore.
great post thanks for sharing.
