After spending a couple nights in Carmel by the Sea, we headed inland to Carmel Valley to stay at Holman Ranch. This private estate has amazing grounds and facilities with a rich history that you can use for weddings, special events, family gatherings, or corporate retreats. Established in 1928, there have been different iterations and focuses of the ranch, but anyone who visits can’t deny how amazing the view is of the mountains and valley around you.
We stayed in the overnight guest rooms that really set the mood for a getaway at a ranch with its rustic decor. Just steps away from the guest rooms is a beautiful Spanish Hacienda main house. The detail in decor and amazing architecture show how much care went into the designs and restoration of the home.
Afterwards, we got a tour of the estate. There are 21 acres of vineyards and have actually only been making wine for about 14 years! They are all certified organic and sustainable and make their wine responsibly.
We even had a chance to check out the wine caves and try some of the wines straight from the barrels!
Fun fact: Charlie Chaplin used to frequent the ranch and did shows for guests here.
When we first laid eyes on Holman Ranch, we already imagined all the beautiful wedding photos that could be taken here. It’s a shame we didn’t know about it before we got married. We couldn’t resist taking some of our own tripod shots!
Although it’s not open to public, you can hold private events at Holman Ranch. Weddings are common, but you can also have family gatherings, special events, or corporate retreats. The Lowder family and staff are amazing and they can put together a truly unique experience for you that will be unforgettable.
