This definitely depends on who you ask.  If you ask Esther, I was a Facebook Stalker.  If you ask me, it was an innocent invitation out to Hudson Grille that led to more. And since I’m the one writing this, I get to tell my side of the story.

Esther has actually known my dad and brother through church.  So I was always “Josh’s brother” or “Daniel’s son”.  In the past few years, we had met in passing at different events but never really talked more than a simple hello.

About a year and half ago, Josh and I started playing around Atlanta as The Fu and by summer 2009, we had a weekly gig at Hudson Grille-Brookhaven.  Sometime during the summer I had come across Esther’s facebook posts (they were hard to miss considering how much she posts) and had invited her to come out to Hudson here and there.

Sometime during the summer she had posted up a 30 before 30 list. It was quite an ambitious list so I definitely wanted to see how I could help.  Two of them she had on there were: 18. Perform at an open mic, and 28. Do a photoshoot for a rising actress/singer/group.  Josh and I had done the open mic circuit so I definitely had some suggestions for that, and more so, we happened to be playing with someone at Hudson Grille that coming week that had been on the Tyra Banks show so I thought she might qualify.

To make a long story short, although she was still unsure about coming out, she ended up coming to kill some time before she had to meet some friends.  We chatted a bit that night, then ended up hanging out the night after, and so on and so forth.  And so here we are now.
