Fine Dining with the Best Views of New York at Asiate NYC

During our time in New York, we had both lunch and dinner at Mandarin Oriental’s Asiate. The restaurant has some of the best panoramic views of the city, which is definitely the highlight of the experience. Obviously the window tables are the best for both photos and enjoying your food with the views, but even if you aren’t sitting right next to the window, you can still appreciate the views.

Our personal favorites are the corner table and the one next to it.

They have a couple of different options for dinner. You can do a Three Course Prix Fixe Menu ($95) and choose from a list of courses or do a chef’s Tasting Menu ($135). During our visit, we had the Tasting Menu with the optional wine pairing.

The service was spectacular. The wait staff was always attentive, and since I’m allergic to red wine, they were able to alter the wine pairings for my meal while Esther enjoyed the red and whites. They do a beautiful dance to keep your dinner running smoothly without being overbearing.

Besides dinner, they also serve breakfast, brunch on the weekends, and lunch. For anyone who loves wine, they have an extensive list that has something for everyone. We’ve always had a wonderful experience staying at Mandarin Oriental in the past. We hope to check out their rooms in NYC during our next visit. We also can’t wait to come back and do afternoon tea at the lounge next to the restaurant.
