Tour of Procter and Gamble Headquarters in Cincinnati

We’ve really enjoyed visiting corporate headquarters of companies that we use in our day-to-day lives. It gives us a new perspective and appreciation for what they do. Some of our favorites in the past have been the Pixar offices and Zappos!

We were so thrilled and honored when Swiffer contacted us about being ambassadors, or Swiffer Fanatics. We’ve been using Swiffer products for years to clean up after ourselves and our two cats who are good at making a mess… maybe even more than me!

As part of the program, we had the opportunity to visit the Procter and Gamble headquarters in Cincinnati a few weeks ago.

We learned how P&G expanded from a company that used to make only soaps and candles! They were the first to sell packaged soaps. Can you imagine a world before packaging? A world where they sell soap by the slab? Well, I guess they might still be doing that in Portlandia.

It’s also fascinating to see how many different products they’ve developed over the years! This is not one of them, but I had to share this SNL spoof with Amy Poehler, because who doesn’t love Amy Poehler? We saw tons of clips of pop culture references to Swiffer during our tour. Seriously, how did I miss this?

What impressed us the most, though, was seeing the technology behind the Swiffer line and seeing how much better they performed against their competitors. It definitely spoke to our inner nerds. Did you know we both went to Georgia Tech, and I was a Chemistry major? I can still see myself working in R&D again one day. ;) Needless to say, after the demonstration, we could not deny the advantage of buying the Swiffer brand.

We had a great time exploring Cincinnati with our team (Go Team Green!), and we’re so grateful to have met other wonderful bloggers from our time there! A special shoutout to our new Canadian blogger pals Solo Mom Takes Flight, Casey, Answer the Tully Phone, and Nike Lozzo :P who made us honorary Canadians for the week!

Swiffer also surprised us with our very own big green box of products to make things easier on cleaning, so we can spend more time on things we love, like traveling and cuddling with our cats.

If you’ve been watching our snapchats (estherjulee + jacobthefu), you’ll know that Sebastian has been in bad shape lately, and we want to make sure we spend as much quality time with him as possible. It’s been a roller coaster ride of emotions. At one point our vet told us he didn’t want to give us false hope, since his liver stopped functioning. After a few more nights at the hospital, though, his health has improved, but we’re still begging him to eat enough food on his own. I’ve been so stressed out! We would really appreciate your prayers for a full recovery.

I’ll now leave this on a positive note with our vlog from the trip:

What are your favorite cleaning products?
If you use Swiffer products, which ones do you use?
