5 Fun Things to Do in Vegas That Isn’t Gambling

Looking for fun things to do in Vegas that aren’t gambling? You’ve come to the right place.

Welcome to the Local Adventurer Link Up hosted this month by Mariah and myself! The purpose of this link-up is to foster gratitude for the place you live (every city/town has its gems), show others great local experiences that they might never find as a tourist, and inspire others to explore and be present wherever they are. When’s the last time you explored your own hometown?

Jacob and I decided when we got married that we wanted to collect experiences over things, and we’re so glad to finally check off more bucket list items while living in Vegas. Sometimes it’s now or never.

5 Fun Things to Do in Vegas That Isn’t Gambling

1. Hike or Climb at Red Rock

Red Rock is a climber’s playground, and it’s the reason we moved back to Las Vegas.

2. Climb Indoors at Refuge Climbing

This is our home gym in Las Vegas. As much as we would love to say we climb outdoors every day when it’s the climbing season, the reality is that we only make it out 1-2 a week. Refuge is where we go climbing regularly and hang out with our friends. It’s nice that it’s much closer to home (in Vegas, anything over a 10-minute drive feels far. Yes, we’re spoiled). Plus, in the summer or when it rains, it’s your best option.

3. Vegas Indoor Skydiving

This is the place where indoor skydiving first began. If you’re not ready to take the plunge and jump out of a plane, this is a great intro to get the feel for it.

4. Venetian Gondola

It’s our favorite touristy attraction on the Strip, and we’ve done it multiple times. For photography, the outdoor ride is much better than the indoor ride.

5. Hike to a Hot Springs

Gold Strike Hot Springs on the Nevada side and Arizona Hot Springs on the Arizona side of the Colorado River are excellent choices for hikes near Las Vegas.

We love our ramen and are always on the lookout for the best ramen in every city we go to. We loved reading her Ramen Roundup in South Bay and can’t wait to go back and visit some more on her list.
