Anytime I head out for a 3-5 day trip, I love having a weekender duffle bag to bring along. It’s much more mobile than a carry on with wheels, and it doesn’t hurt if it looks more stylish ;D. I had been using a Ben Sherman bag for a while, but the strap started falling apart and didn’t have enough versatility in its build, which led me in search for a new one.
While strolling around CES, we came across the Golla booth, and I was immediately drawn to their marriage of form and function. They currently have three collections: Air, Road, and Original, and I found my current weekend bag under the Road collection.
The Weekender Bag Jerry is built with the look and feel of a stylish canvas duffle but with beautiful accents and well thought out organization. The bag is split into three main sections. The back has a zippered pocket with organizing pockets and pen holders. The front has a smaller zipped pocket for your phone or wallet and also a padded section for your laptop. There’s even a separate padded partition for a tablet. The bulk of the bag is a large open area that is lined with three open pockets and 2 large mesh zipper pockets to help you organize everything you need.
Also, since I usually need to take my laptop with me separately, I decided to pick up a slim sleeve from Golla. The Original Slim Sleeve fits my 13” perfectly and what’s even better, it slips right into the laptop section of The Weekender bag.

I’ve taken it out on 7 or 8 trips already and I can tell that the rugged material can take a beating and the straps are made with solid material. I’ll be sure to update this post if I find any issues with it, but so far so good!
